Sight Word Bingo
Eyes down — first to a line wins
About Sight Word Bingo
Real bingo with a caller who reads each word aloud. Play solo against the clock or put it on the whiteboard and let the whole class play along.
Ankhdase tracks 5 distinct skills in Sight Word Bingo, including Sight words: pre-primer, Sight words: primer, Sight words: first grade and Sight words: second grade. Because mastery is estimated per skill rather than per game, the questions shift toward whatever a student is getting wrong — and away from what they have already proved they know.
There are 5 modes to choose from: Pre-primer, Primer, First grade, Second grade and Third grade.
How to play
- Listen to the word the caller reads out, then tap it on your card.
- Only mark a word that has actually been called — guessing costs you.
- Tap a marked square again to clear it if you make a mistake.
- Get five in a row (or four on the little cards) and hit the BINGO button.
Skills Sight Word Bingo practices
- Sight words: pre-primer
- Sight words: primer
- Sight words: first grade
- Sight words: second grade
- Sight words: third grade
Mastery is estimated separately for each of these, which is what lets the difficulty move independently — a student can be fluent on one and still be fed easier questions on another.
